Sometimes I like to date black women. Not all the time, but on certain occasions. I’ve been known to mess around with single black women in my town. One day I came across BlackSingles. A dating site that had a pretty sexy black woman on the homepage. I decided to take a look around. What I learned was that it is part of a network that I just don’t trust.
If you are familiar with dating sites like JDate.com (for Jewish people) or ChristianMingle.com (for religious people), the black dating site BlackSingles.com should look familiar to you. They are all part of a network of dating sites owned by Spark.com and they all share the same type of unethical practices. Online dating networks like Spark accumulate a plethora of dating profiles across various niches and they use them to their advantage. They do this to attract a larger group of people, no matter what type of dating they are into.
Sadly, they are only there to entice you to enter your personal info and perhaps squeeze some money out of you. They will not help you date someone local, trust me on that. It’s pretty obvious that BlackSingles is a scam from the beginning. However, I kept moving forward so I could write this full review after my experience. Guess what, there were no surprises with this. It was just as I had envisioned. I found no dates even though there was one hot black girl in my area. I didn’t get any real good leads using this site. Read my personal review and experience using the site. You will see why BlackSingles is not all that great (to say the least).
BlackSingles Dating Site Review (A Spark Networks Site)
If you have seen one scam dating site like BlackSingles, you’ve seen them all. Anything that is attractive about the site is tarnished because you never know if you are communicating with real people. I tried it for a month and there was not one girl that I interacted with who turned out to be real. It was just as I suspected when I first signed up. So many messages started coming in and all the girls were very hot. This is a warning sign that you are being scammed.
These messages pour in, just so you will pay for a membership to respond to them. I must admit that the monthly charge is cheaper than a lot of other dating sites at $9.99 It’s still not worth the price because the messages you receive are all fake and computer generated. Another reason to avoid BlackSingles is the fact that they reuse your profile information. They reserve the right to retain your info and pictures. Spark Networks has the legal right to then use them on all the other sites on their network. I know this for a fact because they admit to it in their terms and conditions.
Basically, what they are asking you to do is register, upload personal photos, create content for them and allow them to use it to promote their other sites. Once you enter in your information on the site, it is theirs and they can do whatever they want with it, including using it to scam others without your knowledge. You have just become part of their scam.
I knew that this site was a scam from the beginning, but I continued anyway. The reason I did was to verify things so that I have proof of their inability to help me meet black girls. I like to get proof that a site is a scam for the sake of my reviews, so I bypass any warnings signs that would normally cause me to stop using the site and move on. I went the full nine yards on this one since you can get so detailed in your profile. All that extra time and hassle never amounted to anything.
I received a bunch of messages before I added any detail and all of them turned out to be fake. Then more messages came in after completing my full profile and it was just more of the same. I tried several times to correspond with these women who wrote me, but none of them were women at all. I basically paid the membership fee just so I could talk to a computer for a month. All correspondence was repetitive and generic.
One thing I want to point out really quickly here is the success stories section of the site. They haven’t updated it since 2010. How successful can a dating site be if it’s been over half a decade without being updated? I mean, seriously!
You can do quite a bit on BlackSingles.com without paying (except interact with other members of course). I did like how you could go far beyond the basic profile information. You also get to add fun facts about yourself, select multiple traits to find your perfect match and also write essays about yourself to show what type of person you are. This would be a great feature if you ever actually got to talk to real people. You have to pay if you want to post on the message boards as well, but I just found more fake messages when I tried it out. Everything about this site is fake and you can’t really trust anything you do on it. It’s a shame because they might be a good site if they stopped scamming.

Here’s all the information that you need if you wish to cancel your account. Any user that has an active account should think about cancelling in my opinion. You’d be better off joining a site like Black Fling which guarantees sex for their users.

Conclusion: BlackSingles And Other Spark Networks Sites Should Be Avoided
BlackSingles follows the same basic formula as all the hookup sites that are scams. Their network and most scam sites in general, follow the same principals. It’s easy to figure out their pattern. Sites like this are designed to be as automated as possible. It allows the creators to set it up as a network, then sits back and watch the money roll in. Your experience on the site is almost entirely computer generated and the lack of authenticity insults the intelligence of anyone with online dating experience. Always read the terms and conditions before signing up for a site like this, especially before you spend any money. Also, look for other dating reviews before joining because I check out sites for you so you don’t have to waste your time or money.
